Introductions are in order

Greetings everyone, and welcome to the nth person creating yet another blog. Hopefully though, you'll enjoy this one! My name is Tali, and love news from around the world. Ever since I moved to Canada 7 years ago (ergo the name Nat) I've noticed a gross lack of news on any issue outside of North America - unless of course it directly impacts us, which I find nausiating. So I've taken it upon myself to edumakate the masses as to various neat little stories I find while scouring the web for WORLDLY news. After all, we are a part of the global village, it's time to start caring what goes on beyond the Atlantic.

I will state my biases up front - I am a conservative in the original sense that our government ought to only manage our money responsibly, and leave people's lives to them to decide how to manage. There's no party for that unfortunately, but give it time, maybe I'll start one. I am an immigrant, and my background is Russian and Israeli. I will thus most likely avoid Israeli-Palestinian posts on this blog, as I aknowledge I'm beyond too biased to post something properly informative. I am a huge animal rights activist, so you will likely see several posts regarding poorly or well treated animals, enclosed with some cute animal pictures. My background is in business, and this is the perspective I see much of the world in (though regardless of what Wal-Mart will tell you, human rights DO count in the business world).

A final point is that I can sometimes put my foot in my mouth, so I'd like to apologise in advance. If you see something at any point on this blog which strikes you as off, please comment and I will edit the post as soon as possible.

So take a seat with a warm coffee (or tea), put on your slippers, and let the ride begin.
